American Patchwork & Quilting "1 Million Pillowcase Challenge"

Suzzett's Fabric will host Pillowcase events throughout 2010.
Be sure to check this page throuhout the year to see how you can participate in the events.

We have already started sewing pillowcases for charity. Suzzett’s Fabric, Quilts and More, LLC will be donating pillowcases to Trinity Mission, the local healthcare and retirement center in Italy Texas.

When you purchase fabric from Suzzett’s Fabric for a charity pillowcase, be sure to send a picture to email address pillowcases@suzzettsfabric.com of your completed pillowcase using your Suzzett's Fabric purchase. Include the name of the organization you will be donating your completed pillowcase to. I will add your pillowcase to the Pillowcase Challenge website and issue you a coupon for 10% off your next purchase at Suzzett’s Fabric, Quilts and More.

The Fabric Shop Network has provided the cutest little pillowcase dress pattern. This little dress would be so sweet with turtles or owls trimmed with dots from the Love U line by Deb Strain for Moda.

The small prints from the Chloe fabric by Janet Broxon for P&B Textiles would also work well for this pattern.

You can have fun being creative making pillowcases for your favorite charity. I made the below pillowcase using a Buddies panel and a coordinating cloud fabric from the Bears Wanna Have Fun fabric line from Moda.

The ladies from Our House in Milford Retreat Center visited the shop the last weekend of June. Oh what fun they had shopping for pillowcase fabric. The ladies that retreat at Milford seem to always have such a good time shopping. I just had to go check out some of their projects on Saturday morning. Pictured are some of the pillowcases that were made using fabric from Blank Quilting, P&B Textiles and Moda Marbles. Mary Jean is pictured with the Snippets fabric from Moda that she used for sashing in her beautiful quilt.
